Chief Accountant / Head of Accounting & Financial Reporting (IFRS)
Dubai, UAE | Swiss-routed Family Office & Corporate Service Provider
A fast-growing Swiss-routed Family Office and Corporate Service Provider based in Dubai is seeking an experienced and highly professional Chief Accountant / Head of Accounting & Financial Reporting to join our team.
The role requires strong IFRS expertise, hands-on leadership, experience with multi-jurisdictional structures, and the ability to ensure financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and accurate reporting across UAE and international entities.

About the Company
We assist international clients with:
• Multi-Family Office services
• Asset protection and succession planning
• Creation and administration of Trusts, Foundations, and corporate structures
• Incorporation and administration of UAE Mainland, Free Zone, and Offshore companies
• Administration of international structures in:
o BVI
o Cayman Islands
o Panama
o Seychelles
o Nevis
o Liechtenstein
o Switzerland

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting & IFRS Compliance
• Prepare and review:
o financial statements
o balance sheets
o profit & loss statements
o cash flow statements
o management reports
o budgets and forecasts
• Ensure full compliance with IFRS and UAE regulatory requirements
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of accounting records and ERP systems
• Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations
• Prepare management reporting and financial analysis for senior management

2. UAE Tax Compliance
• Oversee preparation and submission of:
o quarterly VAT returns
o UAE Corporate Tax returns
• Ensure compliance with UAE FTA regulations
• Coordinate tax-related matters with auditors and tax advisors
• Support banking compliance and source-of-funds documentation
• Experience with UAE tax transparency applications for Foundations / Unincorporated Partnership treatment is a strong advantage

3. International Financial Reporting
• Coordinate and prepare annual financial returns for entities in:
o BVI
o Cayman Islands
o Panama
o Seychelles
o Nevis
• Liaise with:
o auditors
o regulators
o banks
o registered agents
o corporate service providers
in multiple jurisdictions
• Ensure timely compliance with international filing obligations

4. Treasury, Billing & Cash Flow Management
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable
• Supervise invoicing and collection process
• Prepare liquidity reports and cash flow forecasts
• Monitor treasury functions and banking relationships
• Coordinate payments, approvals, and financial controls

5. Audit & Internal Controls
• Lead external audit processes for UAE and international entities
• Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures
• Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness
• Assist with implementation of accounting policies and reporting standards

Candidate Requirements

Professional Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• ACCA, CPA, ACA, CMA or equivalent qualification is strongly preferred
• Minimum 5–7 years of UAE accounting and financial reporting experience
• Experience within:
o family offices
o corporate service providers
o professional services firms
o holding structures
o international groups
is highly preferred

Technical Knowledge & Skills
Strong practical knowledge of:
• IFRS
• UAE VAT
• UAE Corporate Tax
• Multi-jurisdictional financial compliance
• Financial reporting and consolidation
• Treasury and cash flow management
• Audit coordination
• Internal controls
Software skills:
• Competency in major UAE accounting software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong command of:
o Word
o Outlook
o PowerPoint

Languages
• Fluent English (written and spoken) is mandatory
• Russian is a significant advantage
• Additional languages are an advantage
