Job Details
We are seeking a diligent and customer-focused Loan Officer to originate, assess, and process loan applications while protecting the institution against credit risk. Reporting to the Branch Manager, Credit Manager, or Head of Lending, the successful candidate will guide customers through borrowing options, prepare complete and accurate credit files, and support sound lending decisions from first enquiry to disbursement.
The core of the role is customer advice and loan origination. The Loan Officer meets or speaks with individuals and businesses seeking personal loans, auto finance, mortgages, or business credit, explains products, rates, fees, tenor, and repayment obligations in plain language, and helps customers choose a facility they can genuinely afford. Eligibility is discussed honestly, and customers are never encouraged to borrow more than their circumstances support. New business is generated through branch traffic, referrals, corporate relationships, and partnerships with employers, dealers, and developers.
