We are seeking an accurate and personable Restaurant Cashier to handle payments, billing, and cash control at the restaurant’s point of sale. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager or Outlet Supervisor, the successful candidate will be the final point of contact in the guest’s visit, so a smooth, courteous, and error-free settlement matters as much as the meal itself.
The core of the role is billing and payment processing. The Restaurant Cashier prepares and presents guest bills from the POS system, checks that every order, drink, and add-on is charged correctly, and processes payments by cash, card, digital wallet, voucher, or room charge where the restaurant is part of a hotel. Change is counted back carefully, receipts are issued, and split bills, group payments, and service charge or tip allocations are handled accurately and politely. Disputed charges are checked against the order record and resolved calmly, with anything beyond the cashier’s authority passed to the supervisor.
