Role Summary
The Hotel Accountant oversees all financial activities of the hotel, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. The role supports operational departments, maintains financial integrity, and contributes to strategic decision‑making by providing clear financial analysis and insights.
Key Responsibilities
Post and verify daily revenue from PMS/POS (Rooms, F&B, outlets).
Handle cash counts, bank deposits, and credit card reconciliations.
Process supplier invoices, payments, and vendor reconciliations.
Prepare guest/corporate invoices and follow up on collections.
File UAE VAT returns and maintain compliant tax records.
Support corporate tax data preparation and IFRS/USALI reporting.
Perform month‑end closing, journal entries, and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
Assist with payroll verification and inventory counts.
Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
2–4 years hotel accounting experience (UAE preferred).
Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, IFRS, and USALI.
Experience with PMS/POS and accounting systems (Oracle, Opera, Winhms).
Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
