Research and compare information.

You should be able to:
Write clear and professional emails.
Follow up firmly but professionally.
Provide concise and accurate updates.
Clearly explain an issue when something requires attention.
Ask the right questions when information is missing.

Missing information
Incorrect figures
Inconsistent data
Missing documentation
Unusual transactions

Outstanding follow-ups
We are looking for someone who does not simply assume that information is correct because it has been provided by someone else. You should be comfortable checking, reconciling and questioning information when something does not appear right.
Independence & Working Style
This role requires someone who can work independently and does not need constant supervision or hand-holding.
You should be comfortable receiving an objective or task, understanding what needs to be achieved and then figuring out the steps required to complete it.
At the same time, independence does not mean working in isolation. The right person will know when to take initiative and when to ask for clarification or escalate an issue.

The following qualities are particularly important to us:
Ability to learn quickly and retain knowledge
Ability to apply previous learning independently
Strong organisational and administrative skills

What Success Looks Like
Within the first few months, we expect the successful candidate to become familiar with the businesses, understand recurring processes and deadlines, and progressively require less supervision.
Over time, the goal is for the person to be able to anticipate requirements, identify outstanding matters, follow up proactively, maintain accurate records and bring issues to management’s attention before they become problems.
This is an opportunity for someone who wants to become a trusted and integral member of the team, take ownership of their responsibilities and continuously develop their finance, administration and technology skills.
Ideal Candidate
You may be a qualified or part-qualified accountant, bookkeeper or finance professional with strong administrative and organisational abilities. Relevant experience in bookkeeping, VAT, Corporate Tax or working with multiple entities would be advantageous.
More important than having every technical skill from day one is having the right attitude, learning ability, attention to detail, initiative and willingness to use technology intelligently.
If you are someone who learns quickly, remembers what you learn, takes ownership, follows through, communicates well, embraces AI and technology, and enjoys finding better ways of doing things, we would like to hear from you.
