Position Overview
A global group of companies is seeking an experienced and highly capable Global Treasurer to lead and coordinate the Group’s treasury and banking activities across its international operations.
The Global Treasurer will serve as the Group’s primary point of contact with banking institutions worldwide and will be responsible for cash management, payment execution, banking facilities, banking relationships, and the continuous optimization of treasury operations and costs.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the main point of contact for the Group’s global banking relationships, maintaining effective day-to-day communication with banks and financial institutions.
• Manage and execute payments, collections, transfers, and other banking transactions globally, including monitoring transactions through to final execution and settlement.
• Oversee the Group’s global cash flow and liquidity, including monitoring cash positions, funding requirements, and significant incoming and outgoing transactions.
• Establish and maintain new banking relationships, accounts, and facilities in accordance with the Group’s operational and strategic requirements.
• Work closely with banks to arrange and manage appropriate banking and credit facilities required by the Group’s businesses.
• Negotiate banking terms and conditions, including fees, commissions, transaction costs, FX conditions, and other commercial terms, with the objective of achieving competitive conditions across the Group.
• Continuously review treasury and banking processes to identify inefficiencies, reduce costs, and improve operational effectiveness.
• Maintain strong knowledge of and ensure alignment with global banking compliance processes, including KYC, AML, onboarding, transaction monitoring, regulatory requirements, and transaction controls, with particular familiarity with the UAE, European Union, Switzerland, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
• Coordinate treasury activities across different companies, jurisdictions, currencies, and banking platforms.
• Maintain appropriate controls over banking transactions, authorization processes, account access, and payment execution.
• Provide management with regular visibility over cash positions, material transactions, banking matters, and liquidity requirements.
• Support management on treasury-related matters, including financing requirements, banking structures, and cash management initiatives.
Required Experience & Qualifications
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant professional experience, with significant exposure to working directly with banks and financial institutions internationally.
• Strong practical experience in corporate treasury, international banking, cash management, payments, and banking facilities.
• Strong working knowledge of global banking compliance requirements and processes, with specific experience or familiarity in the UAE, European Union, Switzerland, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
• Proven ability to manage multiple banking relationships across different countries and jurisdictions.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills, particularly in relation to banking terms, fees, commissions, and facilities.
• High level of accuracy, reliability, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage significant financial transactions.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, international, multi-company environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-management skills.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Banking, or a closely related field (required).
• Master’s degree, MBA, or relevant professional treasury/finance qualification (e.g., ACT, CTP, CFA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
