Quality Engineer – Water Supply & Pipeline Project
Responsible for quality inspection, monitoring, and documentation of water supply and pipeline construction activities as per approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, and quality standards. Conduct daily site inspections to verify that pipeline laying, jointing, excavation, bedding, backfilling, valve installation, chambers, and other associated works are executed as per approved drawings and specifications. Check the quality of materials delivered to site and ensure proper storage and handling. Coordinate with contractors, supervisors, and site teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues. If any work is found to be non-compliant with approved drawings or specifications, coordinate with the contractor, stop the affected work where required, explain the deviation, and ensure necessary corrective action and removal/rework of incorrect work. Maintain inspection records, checklists, measurements, site reports, and quality documentation. Assist in preparation and verification of JMR/measurement records and ensure completed works are properly documented. Monitor testing and commissioning activities and coordinate with relevant teams for rectification of defects. Ensure all construction activities are completed safely and in accordance with project requirements.
AutoCAD Drafting
Prepare, review, and update AutoCAD drawings for water supply and pipeline projects based on approved designs and actual site conditions. Prepare pipeline layout drawings, alignment drawings, profile drawings, details, sections, and as-built drawings. Review approved drawings and compare them with actual site execution to identify discrepancies or deviations. Incorporate approved revisions and site changes into drawings and maintain updated drawing records. Coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and site teams regarding drawing requirements and technical clarifications. Ensure dimensions, levels, pipeline routes, fittings, valves, chambers, and other details are accurately represented in drawings. Support the preparation of as-built documentation after completion of construction activities. Maintain proper drawing revision control and ensure the latest approved drawings are available for site execution.
