Senior CFO / Finance Director with 30+ years of finance and operational leadership experience across the GCC, including 15+ years of extensive exposure to Construction & Contracting environments. I do not operate as a conventional reporting-focused CFO. I work closely with Owners, CEOs, Project Directors and operational teams, bringing financial discipline and commercial insight into business and project decisions, with particular focus on profitability, cash flow, working capital, financial controls and risk management.

CONSTRUCTION & CONTRACTING-SPECIFIC STRENGTHS

* Project Cost Control, WIP & Profitability

• Establishing project-wise cost-control frameworks covering materials, manpower, subcontracting and overhead allocation

• WIP monitoring, cost-to-complete analysis, project forecasting and margin tracking

• Early identification of cost overruns, margin erosion and profit leakages

• Providing management with clear project-wise profitability and performance visibility
Cash Flow, Working Capital & Collections

• Developing weekly and rolling cash-flow forecasts aligned with project execution, billing and collection cycles

• Managing liquidity pressures arising from delayed certifications, collections and retentions

• Aligning supplier and subcontractor payment cycles with anticipated project inflows

• Monitoring mobilization advances, retentions and project working-capital requirements

• Strengthening receivables and collection controls to protect liquidity Banking, Facilities & Guarantees

• Managing banking relationships and working-capital/project-related facilities

• Experience with Performance Bonds, Advance Payment Guarantees and other project-related LGs

• Project-linked funding, facility utilization and liquidity planning

• Supporting banking negotiations through structured financial information, project pipelines and forward-looking cash-flow projections
Commercial, Financial & Operational Risk Management

• Assessing financial and commercial exposure from tender/bidding stage through project execution and completion

• Early identification of risks arising from cost escalation, overruns and execution delays

• Evaluating exposure from contractual terms, variations, claims, delayed certifications and collections

• Establishing financial checkpoints and practical risk-mitigation measures before exposures materially affect profitability or cash flow

• Supporting management in balancing commercial opportunities against financial and contractual risks
Budgeting, Financial Controls & Management Reporting

• Annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and project-wise performance analysis

• Budget-versus-actual, project margin and cash-flow reporting

• Strengthening internal controls, authorization processes and financial discipline

• Providing Owners and CEOs with concise, forward-looking and decision-oriented financial information, rather than purely historical accounting reports
STRATEGIC & COMMERCIAL CONTRIBUTION
My role extends beyond Finance. I work as a strategic partner to Owners and senior management, combining financial control with commercial and operational understanding to support better decisions throughout the project and business lifecycle.
