Description

🐢 TUKTUK NEEDS A FOREVER HOME — SPECIAL CARE REQUIRED | DUBAI 🇦🇪

Meet TukTuk, a red-eared slider turtle currently being fostered in Dubai and looking for a loving, permanent home.

I took TukTuk in temporarily with the intention of keeping him safe and finding him a suitable home. Unfortunately, I'm moving out of the country soon and won't be able to take him with me, so I'm looking for someone who can give him the long-term care he deserves.

Please read before enquiring: TukTuk may have shell rot and is not currently in the best condition. I was made aware of concerns about his shell after taking him in, and I want to be completely transparent about this so he can find the right home. He will need someone who takes his condition seriously and is prepared to seek appropriate veterinary assessment and treatment.

I'm especially hoping to find an experienced reptile keeper or someone passionate about rescuing and rehabilitating sick or neglected animals. This isn't about finding just anyone who wants a turtle; it's about finding someone who genuinely cares about animal welfare and is willing to give TukTuk the patience, attention and specialised care he may need.

Red-eared sliders require proper aquatic housing, clean and well-maintained water, appropriate lighting, heating, nutrition and ongoing care. Please only enquire if you're prepared for the responsibility and potential veterinary expenses involved.

I'm only fostering TukTuk temporarily and want to make sure he goes to someone who can offer him a safe, stable and permanent home.

📍 Location: Dubai, UAE
🐢 Species: Red-eared slider
❤️ Looking for: An experienced, committed adopter who can provide appropriate care and rehabilitation.

If you're interested in giving TukTuk a chance, please message me with a little information about your experience with turtles, your setup and how you'd care for him.

Please share this with anyone in Dubai who specialises in turtle rescue or reptile rehabilitation. Let's find TukTuk the right person. 🤍
