Marshall Studio Vintage SV20C – Limited Edition Target 62 Blue Levant + Bugera PS1 Power Soak

If you want the classic Marshall Plexi / 1959 Super Lead sound without owning a 100-watt half-stack, this is one of the best ways to get it.

This is the limited-edition Target 62 Blue Levant SV20C, built in Marshall’s factory in Bletchley, England, with the distinctive blue finish released to celebrate Marshall’s 60th anniversary.

The Studio Vintage is Marshall’s compact all-valve take on the legendary 1959SLP — the classic Plexi sound heard across countless rock records.

Amp specs:

* 20W all-valve output, switchable down to 5W
* 2 × EL34 power valves
* 2 × ECC83 preamp valves + 1 × ECC83 phase splitter
* 10” Celestion V-Type / VT-Junior speaker
* Classic High Treble + Normal voices

The important thing with this amp: it gets LOUD.

There is no conventional master volume — a big part of the Plexi character comes from turning the amp up and driving the valves. Even in its 5W mode, that can be far too loud for apartment/home use.

For that reason I’m including a Bugera PS1 Power Soak, a passive 100W attenuator that lets you push the Marshall into natural valve saturation while reducing the volume reaching the speaker.
