The Cort Classic AC100 is a traditional classical guitar that has been re-engineered to improve resonance and deliver an authentic classical guitar sound. Its combination of Spruce top with Mahogany back and sides produces a traditional, deep, and mellow tone, while the classic construction is designed to be forgiving for students and players who are developing their technique. The Open Pore finish complements the straightforward classical design.

The Mahogany neck features a U-shaped profile and is paired with a Merbau fingerboard with 19 frets. The Traditional Fan Bracing is specifically used for classical guitars to maximize the vibrational characteristics of nylon strings, while the 25.6-inch (650mm) scale length and 2 1/16-inch (52mm) nut width provide the traditional classical-guitar playing format. The Laurel bridge, Urea Resin nut and saddle, classical-style tuning machines, and Cort Classic head shape complete the construction.

The Savarez Cristal Corum high-tension nylon strings complement the AC100's traditional classical design, with Cristal trebles and Corum polished-silver-wound basses providing a clear and defined response.
