* Audio Interface: The MasterControl is a 24-bit/192kHz FireWire audio and MIDI interface. It offers eight analog inputs (two XLR mic/line combo jacks with phantom power and inserts, six 1/4" TRS line inputs) and six balanced analog outputs. It can be expanded to up to 24 simultaneous inputs via dual ADAT Lightpipe and S/PDIF connections.
* Control Surface: It features nine 100mm, touch-sensitive, motorized Alps faders, a multi-function jog wheel, and dedicated transport controls. It also has eight assignable rotary knobs (with three banks of control) and assignable buttons, allowing for hands-on control over various software parameters. It uses the industry-standard HUI and Mackie Control protocols for wide compatibility.
* Monitoring: The unit includes built-in control room management, offering three pairs of independently assignable stereo speaker outputs and two independent headphone outputs with separate volume controls. An integrated talkback microphone is included for communicating with musicians during tracking.
* Compatibility: It is compatible with major DAWs such as Pro Tools, Cubase, Logic, Ableton Live, Reason, and Digital Performer, via HUI or Mackie Control protocols. The device was originally compatible with Mac OS X and Windows XP/Vista, with later driver updates adding support for Mac OS 10.7 Lion/10.8 Mountain Lion and Windows 7/10.
