The device uses a water-drop hinge design that can hold the screen at any angle between 0° and 180°, allowing it to function like a laptop, tablet, or a tent. The total weight without the keyboard is 1.16 kilograms.

Performance and Software
Huawei powers the MateBook Fold with its own Kirin chipset, optimized for HarmonyOS 5. The device includes 32 GB LPDDR5 RAM and offers storage options of 1 TB or 2 TB SSD. The cooling system combines dual fans and a vapor chamber to keep temperatures low during heavy use. The HarmonyOS 5 software provides features optimized for foldable devices, including a split-screen mode and app continuity when folding and unfolding.
