Description

The Ubiquiti Wave-Pico is a compact outdoor wireless CPE designed for high-speed 60GHz point-to-point and point-to-multipoint deployments within the Ubiquiti UISP Wave ecosystem. Its lightweight form factor makes it suitable for WISPs, building-to-building connectivity, business networks and other fixed wireless applications that require multi-gigabit wireless performance.

Wave Pico operates across the 57â€“71GHz frequency range and supports channel widths of 540, 1080 and 2160MHz. Its integrated 60GHz antenna provides 27.7dBi gain with a focused 6Â° horizontal and vertical beamwidth, helping provide stable directional wireless links.

The unit delivers up to 2Gbps total throughput. In point-to-point applications, Ubiquiti specifies a maximum range of up to 1.5km (1 mile). For point-to-multipoint deployments, range can reach up to 1.3km when connected to a Wave AP, or up to approximately 0.9km with Wave AP Micro or Wave AP Gen2. Actual performance depends on alignment, interference, weather and deployment conditions.

For improved link reliability, the Wave Pico includes a 5GHz 802.11ax WiFi 6 backup radio. The backup antenna provides 9dBi gain and supports 20, 40 and 80MHz channel widths, helping maintain connectivity if the primary 60GHz path becomes temporarily unavailable.

Wired connectivity is provided through 1 Ã— Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port. The unit supports passive PoE and includes a 48V DC, 0.5A Gigabit PoE adapter. Maximum power consumption is approximately 10W.

The Wave Pico is powered by a dual-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor running at 1GHz with 512MB memory. It integrates with the UISP platform for configuration, monitoring, traffic shaping, link management, antenna alignment and network administration.

Built for outdoor deployment, the enclosure uses UV-stabilized polycarbonate and carries an IPX6 weatherproof rating. It supports operating temperatures from -40Â°C to 60Â°C and includes pole-mounting hardware for professional installation.
