Description

1 Vintage & Scarce Piastre from Syria by The Syrian Bank ( Banque De Syrie ).
Issue Date: 1st of January 1920 (106 years old note)
Condition: Graded Choice Extremely Fine 45 by PMG.
Printer: BWC
A very tiny note, beautiful , issued by the Syrian Bank in Beirut.
Issued post WW1 upon the French mandate for Syria and Lebanon earlier in the 19th century.
Features:
Front:
Features text in both French and Arabic with a blue-dominant border over light underprinting.
Back:
Depicts the Ancient pillars of Temple of Jupiter in Baalbek, Lebanon.
