A beautiful piece of art from Syria.. Rich in a lot of historical symbols from Syria.
500 Syrian Pounds banknote
Issue Date: 1979
Condition: Extremely Fine to About Uncirculated. Strong paper quality, without tears, no stains & almost never used.
First release of this issue was in 1958.
Last one was in 1992.
Front: Features artistic motifs inspired by the ancient Kingdom of Ugarit, specifically a stylized ancient head on the right and mirrored figures in the center.
Watermark: An Arabian horse's head is embedded in the paper as a security feature.
Back: An ancient religious wheel full of legendary animals ornaments and cuneiform clay tablet, depending on the specific series within that era.
