of the major contributors of the value of pi. Pi is
also called Archimedes' constant. Near the
bottom of the coin is the symbol for pi along
with the face value of 3.14 dollars, the image
gives you the impression Archimedes is holding
this symbol. The background has the pattern of
some of the digits of pi
◦ Reverse: Displays the effigy of Her Majesty
Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions include
the country of issue, face value, year of issue
and the weight and fineness of the coin.
