Two specimen banknotes from the 2025 series of the Bangladesh Taka, which was introduced in May and June 2025.
This new series, titled "Historical and Archaeological Architecture of Bangladesh," replaced the previous portraits of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with depictions of significant national monuments.

20 Taka Banknote:
Color: Primarily shades of blue and green.
Obverse (Front): Features the Kantaji Temple (also known as Kantanagar Temple) located in Dinajpur.
Reverse (Back): Depicts the Somapura Mahavihara (Buddhist monastery) in Naogaon.
Background Elements: Includes the national flower, the water lily (Shapla), in bloom.
50 Taka Banknote:
Color: Pink, red, brown, and green.
Obverse (Front): Features the Ahsan Manzil palace in Dhaka.
Reverse (Back): Depicts Zainul Abedin's famous painting titled "The Struggle".
Accessibility Features: Includes tactile markers to assist blind and visually impaired individuals in identifying the denomination.
