Issue Date: 1959-1970.
No tears, not repaired neithercleaned. Just Staple holes at issue & minor stains.
These specialized banknotes, known as "Gulf Rupees," were printed by India for exclusive circulation in the Arabian Gulf countries like Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, and the Trucial States (now the UAE).
Key Details & Features
Distinctive Color: Unlike the purple-brown ₹10 notes used within India at the time, these Gulf issues were printed in red-orange to make them easily identifiable for external circulation.
"Z" Prefix: These notes are distinguished by a unique "Z" prefix in the serial number which was reserved solely for the Gulf region.
Replacement: They were gradually replaced by local currencies like the Kuwaiti dinar (1961) and the UAE dirham (1973).
