This item is a Military Payment Certificate (MPC) from the Series 681, denominated in one dollar. These certificates were a form of currency used by U.S. military personnel serving overseas, specifically in Vietnam between August 1969 and October 1970.

Face: Features a portrait of an Air Force fighter pilot in full gear.
The back: depicts four F-100 Super Sabre fighter jets in a formation, associated with the Air Force's "Thunderbirds" demonstration team.
MPCs were issued to U.S. military personnel in occupied areas to prevent black-market activities and insulate the American dollar.
They were used in places such as South Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
