This is a 1938 Imperial Japanese 50 Sen banknote.
Issue Date: 1938
Condition: Graded by PMG 64 / Choice Uncirculated.
The obverse features a sunrise over Mount Fuji and cherry blossoms.
It was issued during World War II as a substitute for the 50 sen coin to preserve silver for the war effort.
The note is part of the Emperor Showa (Hirohito) series.
