1 Livre banknote from Lebanon, Issued by Banque De Syrie Et Du Liban [ Bank Of Syria & Lebanon ]
Issue Date: 1st of April 1939
The note is known in Lebanon as the Livre of Gazal.
Quality: Very Fine + great paper quality.
An unfortunate tiny 5 mm corner tear during shipping has been fixed.
A rare , colourful & beautiful note.
Printed for Lebanon, the face has floral & flowers ornaments frame , some animals heads at the internal frame with 2 Golden Eagles as a background at the Arabic text in the middle.
There is an Arabic declaration about the value of 20 French Francs for this note as a cheque to France.
The back portrays mountain and Cedar tree at centre, antelope head, fruits & crops at left & right.
