Description

Antique Syrian mirror with mother-of-pearl inlay and hand-carved wood frame, featuring an ornate floral crest and fine geometric inlay along the full border. Estimated at over 100 years old; purchased and shipped from Jordan over 10 years ago.

Condition: Some mother-of-pearl chips are missing from the inlay (all original pieces have been kept and are included with the sale), and the floral crown at the top sustained a partial break during shipping. Both were factored into the dealer's valuation below. The seller can put the buyer in touch with a Dubai-based restoration specialist who can carry out repairs/replacement.

- Origin: Syria
- Age: 100+ years (dibizzle field allows only up to "10+")
- Material: Carved wood frame with mother-of-pearl inlay
- Provenance: Purchased and shipped from Jordan over 10 years ago
- Price guidance: Valued at AED 50,000 by a Dubai-based Syrian antiques dealer (valuation accounts for the condition noted above); offered at AED 45,000
- Reason for selling: Relocating from Dubai — would rather sell than risk further damage in a move

Original mother-of-pearl pieces dislodged from the frame are saved and included. Restoration contact available on request. Viewing available for serious inquiries only.
