Description
Antique hand-hammered copper charger, Mamluk Revival ("Cairoware") style, silver-inlaid, ~40cm diameter. Heavy, solid construction — not a thin reproduction. Front densely chased with a radiating Kufic-style calligraphic medallion in a star motif, framed by arabesque vine borders and an outer geometric band. Reverse is dished solid copper with a hanging loop, ready to display on the wall. Natural wear to the silver inlay in places (copper showing through at high points) consistent with genuine age — original patina otherwise intact. Likely Syrian or Egyptian workshop, early-to-mid 20th century.
Serious collectors only.
