A 19th-century French Globe de Mariée (also known as a bride's globe or marriage cloche).

Key Features:

• Glass Dome: A blown-glass cloche resting on a traditional ebonized (blackened) wooden base.
• Gilt Ormolu & Mirrors: An elaborate interior framework of embossed gold-colored metal leaves, flowers, and multiple small mirrors designed to capture light and symbolize different facets of married life.
• Central Display: Unlike standard domes that hold a wax bridal crown, this example features a red tufted velvet/silk cushion supporting porcelain figurine figures (a couple in period attire) and artificial silk or paper roses.
