Description
The 28mm Summilux-M is one of the most coveted lenses in the entire Leica ecosystem. It was the first M-mount lens to combine a 28mm focal length with an f/1.4 aperture, and ref. 11668 remains the current and only production version. No updated model exists. When they are gone from the market, they are gone.
This example is in pristine, near-mint condition. Glass is clear and untouched, aperture blades are crisp, focus ring moves with that classic Leica drag. Purchased in 2022, used minimally.
The 28mm sits in a sweet spot for M shooters. Wide enough for environmental context, tight enough for subject focus. At f/1.4 in low light it is simply exceptional, with the rendering characteristics that collectors and working photographers both chase. Comparable examples are increasingly hard to find in this condition.
Comes with original Leica leather pouch. Serious inquiries only.
