First of all, we have to say we are blown away with the quality & driving experience of the latest generation Ford Mustang, with bags of torque from its improved 5.0 V8 engine & this being a convertible model. Quality finishing and an overall feeling that puts a proper smile on your face and puts this car in the realms of its German competitors but at a fraction of the price. Come down for a viewing and see with your own eyes how sharp this GT Convertible looks and drives!
Let’s start with the drivetrain, the 5.0-litre V8 now has 475bhp – 40bhp more – and a cheeky 5bhp more than the V8 Camaro. All 2018 models now have revised shocks for a better ride quality, plus stiffer rear suspension, and stabilizer bars to sharpen steering response and handling accuracy. Sending the power rearward through a 3.73 rear end that brings a 0-100KM/h in just 4.6 seconds! If you enjoy the experience as much as the performance, the Mustang GT really is the whole package especially coming with the manual gearbox & with an exhaust that’s muscular when exercised and an interior you don’t have to make excuses for like many other American cars.
The interior is very nicely finished & a huge step forward from Mustang & Ford models of old. A swath of material that looks like engine-turned aluminium cuts a handsome horizontal line across the cabin, stitched leather dashboard & centre console, also the instruments and gauges are high-quality with fun details such as “ground speed” on the speedometer complete the feel. There are loads of detailed updates making you feel like you’re in something truly special.
