2024 Bugatti Chiron Super Sport Le Diamant Noir

The Bugatti Chiron is a mid-engined, two-seat hypercar named after Monégasque racing driver Louis Chiron. While it carries over the iconic 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine from the Veyron, the unit is extensively reworked with larger turbochargers and upgraded internal components. As with its predecessor, the Chiron features a carbon fibre body structure, independent suspension, and a Haldex all-wheel-drive system.

The Chiron incorporates a fully adaptive chassis, paired with significantly upgraded carbon ceramic brakes—measuring 420mm at the front and 400mm at the rear, both thicker than those on the Veyron. These are clamped by forged aluminium callipers (eight-piston front, six-piston rear) designed asymmetrically to improve heat dissipation. A redesigned heat shield system further optimises airflow through the discs for enhanced cooling performance.

In summer 2021, Bugatti introduced the Chiron Super Sport, a road-focused evolution of the record-breaking 300+. This model represents the final application of Bugatti’s legendary W16 engine, with approximately 80 examples produced. The Super Sport delivers 1,578hp and 1,180lb-ft of torque, combining extreme performance with greater refinement, including a more compliant ride and enhanced interior luxury.

Chassis revisions focus on high-speed stability and comfort, featuring a 7% stiffer rear axle, recalibrated adaptive damping, and sharper steering response. Aerodynamically, the Super Sport adopts a distinctive long-tail design, extended by 25cm to reduce drag, alongside air curtains and revised front wheel arches to optimise airflow and downforce.

Despite its comfort-oriented enhancements, performance remains extraordinary: electronically limited to 273mph, the Chiron Super Sport accelerates from 0–60mph in just 2.4 seconds and reaches 180mph in just over 12 seconds.

This particular example is a true one-of-one, known as the “Le Diamant Noir,” distinguished by its striking exposed carbon fibre exterior body. The finish is elevated by a bespoke Tiffany Green racing livery and detailing, creating a unique contrast that enhances both its visual presence and exclusivity.
