We are seeking a seasoned and commercially astute Director of Operations to lead the operational performance of the organisation and turn corporate strategy into consistent, profitable delivery. Reporting to the CEO, Managing Director, or Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will hold senior accountability for how the business actually runs day to day, across sites, departments, and teams, and will be measured on efficiency, quality, cost, safety, and service.
The core of the role is operational strategy and leadership. The Director of Operations translates the company’s strategic objectives into operating plans, targets, and KPIs, and ensures every department understands what it is accountable for. Performance is reviewed regularly against plan, with underperformance traced to its cause and corrected rather than simply reported. Operating models, structures, and processes are redesigned when growth, new services, or new locations demand it, and operational risks are identified early and managed with clear contingency plans.
