We are seeking a capable and commercially driven Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in running all aspects of store operations. Reporting to the Store Manager, the successful candidate will take day-to-day ownership of the floor, deputise fully in the manager's absence, and be accountable for sales performance, team standards, and operational discipline across the store.
The core of the role is operational leadership. The Assistant Store Manager oversees opening and closing procedures, ensures the store is fully stocked, priced, and presented to standard before trading begins, and monitors the floor throughout the day to catch issues before they affect the customer — empty shelves, checkout queues, pricing errors, cleanliness lapses. Store standards for merchandising, promotions, and health and safety are enforced consistently, and any shortfall is corrected on the spot rather than left for the next shift.
