We're looking for a Bartender to run our bar with skill and personality. You'll be mixing and serving drinks to a consistent standard, keeping the bar stocked and spotless, and making sure every guest who sits down leaves planning their next visit.
This is a good fit if you work fast without cutting corners, remember a regular's order before they ask, and enjoy the buzz of a busy service.
What you'll do
• Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wine, beer and soft drinks to recipe standards
• Set up the bar before service and break it down cleanly at close
• Take orders, process payments and manage tabs on [POS system]
• Handle mise en place — garnishes, syrups, ice, glassware and daily prep
• Monitor stock levels, rotate inventory and report shortages to the Bar Manager
• Keep the bar, back bar and equipment clean and compliant with hygiene standards
• Serve alcohol responsibly, checking ID and declining service where required
• Build rapport with guests and make confident recommendations from the drinks list
• Support the wider food and beverage team during peak periods
• Contribute ideas for seasonal menus and specials
• Complete opening, closing and stock-count checklists accuratel
What we're looking for
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails and accurate, consistent pouring
• Fast and composed under pressure during high-volume service
• Confident, friendly manner with guests
• Good spoken English [+ additional languages an advantage]
• Comfortable with POS systems and cash handling
• Solid understanding of responsible alcohol service and licensing rules
• [Basic Food Hygiene / PIC certificate — or willingness to obtain one]
• Available for evening, weekend and public holiday shifts
• Able to stand for long shifts and lift stock safely
Nice to have
• Experience in [craft cocktails / high-volume nightclub / fine dining]
• A wine or spirits qualification (WSET, BarSmarts or similar)
• Coffee or barista skills
• Involvement in menu development or costing
• Additional languages
