We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Helper to support the kitchen team in daily operations. The role involves basic food preparation, cleaning, washing, and assisting chefs to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and hygienically at all times. No advanced culinary experience is required — full on-the-job training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning vegetables, meat, and other ingredients
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment, keeping them clean and ready for use
• Keep all kitchen areas, floors, counters, and storerooms clean, tidy, and free from hazards
• Receive, unload, and correctly store deliveries in chillers, freezers, and dry storage
• Follow stock rotation procedures (FIFO) and inform the supervisor of low or expired items
• Dispose of kitchen waste properly and follow correct segregation and bin cleaning procedures
• Support chefs during service by fetching ingredients and keeping stations stocked
• Follow all HACCP, Dubai Municipality, and company food safety and hygiene standards
• Report any faulty equipment, spillages, or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately
• Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by the kitchen management team
Requirements
• Previous kitchen or cleaning experience is an advantage, but not essential — training will be provided
• Basic understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Valid Dubai Municipality Food Handler certificate, or willingness to obtain
• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours, lift heavy items, and work in a hot environment
• Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
• Basic English communication skills; Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam, Tagalog, or Arabic an advantage
• Punctual, honest, and willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Valid UAE residence visa or eligibility to be sponsored
