About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Barista with advanced coffee-making abilities to lead beverage preparation, uphold quality standards, and mentor junior team members. The successful candidate should be flexible to work across different branch locations as needed, based on business and staffing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Always prioritize quality over quantity — every cup must meet the standard, even if it means slowing down.
• Prepare and serve a full range of espresso-based and specialty coffee beverages to a consistently high standard.
• Ensure exact, consistent measurements (dosing, extraction time, milk ratios) so every coffee tastes the same, every time, for every customer.
• Demonstrate advanced barista techniques, including latte art, precise extraction, and milk texturing.
• Train, guide, and support junior baristas on brewing techniques, equipment use, and quality standards.
• Maintain quality control over coffee preparation, presentation, and taste consistency.
• Deliver warm, genuine hospitality — make every customer feel welcomed and well taken care of.
• Keep the counter, equipment, and entire café area clean, tidy, and presentable at all times.
• Maintain strict personal and food hygiene standards, and always present a neat, professional, well-groomed appearance.
• Operate, clean, and perform basic maintenance on espresso machines and grinders.
• Manage stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; place replenishment orders as needed.
• Ensure full compliance with hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Deliver excellent, friendly customer service and handle customer feedback professionally.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately handle cash and card transactions.
• Be available to work at different branch locations as assigned by management, based on rotation and business needs.
Requirements
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a barista, with proven advanced/specialty coffee skills.
• Strong knowledge of espresso equipment, brewing methods, and coffee origins/profiles.
• Latte art skills and experience training or supervising other baristas preferred.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a genuine hospitality mindset.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency — committed to quality over quantity in every cup.
• High personal hygiene standards and a clean, well-presented appearance at all times.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Willingness and ability to rotate between different branch locations as required.
• Valid UAE residence visa or eligibility to work in the UAE.
