We are seeking a friendly and efficient Restaurant Cashier to handle customer transactions and provide excellent service at the point of sale. Responsibilities include greeting customers, taking orders, operating the cash register or POS system, processing payments accurately, and issuing receipts and change. The role also involves answering questions about menu items, handling special requests, resolving customer complaints professionally, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. Additional duties may include balancing the cash drawer at the end of shifts, restocking supplies, and assisting with light food preparation or packaging when needed. The ideal candidate has strong communication and customer service skills, basic math abilities, and the capacity to stay calm and efficient during busy periods. No prior experience is typically required, though experience in retail or food service is a plus. A high school diploma or equivalent may be preferred, and the ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is essential.
