The Childcare Worker supervises and cares for children in a safe, nurturing environment, supporting their daily routines, play, and early development while keeping families informed.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise children at all times and maintain required staff-to-child ratios
• Lead age-appropriate play, craft, story, and learning activities
• Assist with meals, snacks, nappy changes, toileting, and nap routines
• Support social skills, sharing, and gentle behaviour guidance
• Observe and record children's progress, incidents, and daily notes
• Maintain a clean, hygienic, and hazard-free space; sanitise toys and surfaces
• Communicate daily with parents about their child's routine and wellbeing
• Follow safeguarding, health, safety, and emergency procedures at all times
Qualifications
Required
• [High school diploma or equivalent]
• Background check / police clearance and [CPR and First Aid certification]
• Patience, warmth, and reliability
• Ability to lift and carry young children and stay physically active
