We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Trolley Collector to keep shopping trolleys and baskets clean, organised, and available for customers throughout the day. Reporting to the Front End Supervisor or Store Operations Supervisor, the successful candidate plays a small but constant role in shaping a customer's first and last impression of the store.
The core of the role is trolley and basket collection. The Trolley Collector gathers trolleys and baskets from the car park, entrance areas, and drop-off points throughout the shift, returning them to designated bays in an orderly, nested arrangement. Collection is carried out continuously rather than only when trolleys visibly pile up, particularly during busy trading periods when trolley availability directly affects the customer's shopping experience. Trolleys left in unsafe locations — blocking walkways, parking spaces, or roadways — are prioritised and cleared promptly for safety.
