Job Description

The Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi Administrative Fellowship Program is a highly selective 12-month post-graduate training program for individuals with a passion for healthcare.

The fellowship is project-oriented and gives the fellow numerous opportunities to participate in a wide variety of projects throughout the organization with the goal of developing core competencies necessary for clinical leadership.

At the end of the fellowship, the Fellow will have completed projects across the international enterprise including Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and Cleveland Clinic Main Campus in Ohio, US.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Serve as project manager and provide project support on approximately (8-10) projects at any given time.
- Identify scope of work by areas of interest within Clinical Operations
- Manage project plans updates and report on the progress towards completion of project milestones to project sponsors
- Develop, coordinate and/or manage updates to policies and procedures, process flows, financial spreadsheets and scorecards in collaboration with and oversight of a Director
- Implements projects as assigned by the Director of Clinical Operations and/or Institutes/Department Administrators
- Meet with the Executive Mentor on a bi-weekly to monthly basis throughout the fellowship year to gain further insight and guidance around professional growth and leadership development and meet regularly with an Executive Coach
- Participate in structured leadership development using a variety of tools including thinking rounds, deep-dives, case studies, strength based assessments and individualized leadership development plans
- The fellow is also exposed to senior-level decision-making processes and participates in team decision making to learn about the interdependent nature of hospital departments
- Perform other duties as assigned

Skills

- Minimum of 0 - 2 years of experience working in a health care and/or consulting environment is required
- Health care industry experience such as an internship, externship, fellowship or applicable employment is beneficial
- Strong understanding of healthcare with business management skills sufficient to perform research, analytical studies and report/presentation preparation.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Highly proficient in producing professional deliverables in the following software programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and work independently
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, with competing demands
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural professional and technical staff

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum of Bachelor degree is required.
- Master's degree in Healthcare (MHA, MBA, MHSA, MPH or related field) completed preferably from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME); however, applicants from non-CAHME programs will be accepted for review.
