About the Project
We are looking for an experienced Creative Lead to support the creative vision of the series while collaborating closely with our internal team and production partners throughout development and production.
Role Overview
The Creative Lead will support the Creative Director and Creator in implementing, maintaining, and elevating the overall creative vision of the IP. This role requires a strong understanding of preschool storytelling, visual development, character-driven narratives, and animation production pipelines.
Working alongside the Creator, Creative Director, Production Head, Writers, Art Directors, and Animation Studio, the Creative Lead will help ensure that every creative decision aligns with the vision, educational philosophy, and quality standards of the series.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Leadership
Support the Creative Director in implementing and maintaining the overall creative vision from pre-production through post-production.
Translate the Creative Director's and Creator's vision into a consistent visual and storytelling language.
Coordinate with creative departments to ensure consistency in artistic direction.
Mentor and guide artists, designers, and storytellers to maintain creative excellence throughout production.
Story Development
Collaborate on animatics, storyboards, scripts, pacing, humour, and emotional storytelling.
Review scripts and provide creative feedback to strengthen storytelling and audience engagement.
Ensure every episode delivers clear educational objectives while maintaining entertainment value.
Visual Direction
Review visual development, concept art, colour palettes, lighting, and production quality.
Maintain visual consistency across all episodes and production assets.
Support the development of creative solutions from concept through final execution.
Animation Supervision
Work closely with the animation studio and provide creative feedback during key production milestones.
Review animation performances, facial expressions, acting, and timing.
Review final visual output and recommend approval to the Creative Director.
Music & Audio Direction
Collaborate with composers, voice talent, and sound teams to support the series' creative direction.
Ensure music, voice performances, and sound design effectively enhance storytelling and emotional impact.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Production, Art, Writing, and Technical teams.
Participate in creative reviews, milestone approvals, and production planning.
Support marketing, brand extension, and licensing initiatives when required.
Required Skills & Experience
7–10 years of experience in animation, children's content, or visual storytelling.
Experience leading creative teams on CGI television series or feature productions.
Strong understanding of preschool audiences and educational storytelling.
Excellent visual storytelling and artistic judgement.
Knowledge of animation production pipelines from development through final delivery.
Strong communication, collaboration, leadership, and mentoring skills.
Ability to provide constructive creative feedback while maintaining a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing preschool or family entertainment content.
Strong portfolio demonstrating character-driven storytelling.
Experience with CGI animated productions.
Understanding of children's educational content and developmental psychology.
Familiarity with licensing, merchandising, and long-term IP development.
