We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Warehouse Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our warehouse. You'll receive incoming stock, pick and pack orders, keep inventory accurate, and help make sure goods leave the building on time and in good condition. It's a physical, fast-paced role that suits someone organised, safety-conscious, and happy working as part of a team.
Key responsibilities
• Receive, unload, and check incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes; report shortages, damage, or discrepancies
• Pick, pack, label, and stage customer orders accurately and on schedule
• Move stock using pallet trucks, trolleys, and (where certified) forklifts
• Put away goods in correct locations and maintain clear, well-organised aisles and racking
• Update stock records in the warehouse management system and support regular stock counts and cycle checks
• Prepare shipping documentation and coordinate with drivers and couriers on collections
• Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety standards
• Follow all safe-handling, PPE, and manual-handling procedures, and report hazards or near-misses promptly
• Support other warehouse and operations tasks as required
Requirements
Essential
• [High school diploma / secondary education] or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to [20–25 kg] and stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
• Good attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and stock records
• Basic computer literacy (scanners, handheld devices, email, spreadsheets)
• Good spoken and written [English]; ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
• Dependable timekeeping and a strong team-work attitude
• Legal right to work in [country/location]
Desirable
• 1+ years' experience in a warehouse, logistics, retail stockroom, or distribution environment
• Valid forklift licence or certification
• Experience with a WMS or ERP system (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Odoo)
• Knowledge of health, safety, and hazardous-goods handling requirements
