We are seeking a capable and hands-on Production Supervisor to lead a shift on the factory floor and ensure that output targets are achieved safely, on specification, and at the required quality standard. Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will manage operators and line staff, coordinate resources across the shift, and act as the first line of decision-making when production conditions change.
The heart of the role is running the shift. The Production Supervisor reviews the production plan at the start of each shift, allocates operators to lines and machines, and confirms that materials, tooling, and packaging are available and staged before the line starts. Throughout the shift the supervisor monitors output rate, downtime, scrap, and yield against target, intervenes when a line falls behind, and adjusts labour or sequence to recover. Changeovers and startups are supervised directly to keep lost time to a minimum, and any shortfall against plan is escalated to the Production Manager with the cause identified rather than simply reported.
