Vacancy: Freight Forwarding Operations Manager
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Freight Forwarding Operations Manager to lead and manage our daily freight forwarding operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end international freight forwarding operations across road, sea, and air transportation.
* Plan, coordinate, and monitor shipments from booking through final delivery.
* Supervise the operations team and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
* Communicate with customers, carriers, shipping lines, agents, customs brokers, and overseas partners.
* Negotiate competitive freight rates and service terms with carriers and subcontractors.
* Review and approve shipping documents, including CMRs, Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, invoices, and packing lists.
* Ensure compliance with customs regulations, transportation laws, company procedures, and international trade requirements.
* Track shipments and provide customers with timely status updates.
* Handle operational issues, delays, claims, cargo damage, penalties, and customer complaints.
* Monitor transportation costs, shipment profitability, and operational performance.
* Control supplier invoices and coordinate customer billing with the finance department.
* Support the collection of outstanding customer payments when required.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and business partners.
* Prepare operational, financial, and performance reports for senior management.
* Establish and improve standard operating procedures to increase efficiency and service quality.
* Monitor team performance and provide training, guidance, and support to operations staff.
* Identify operational risks and implement appropriate preventive and corrective actions.
