Job Description

We are currently supporting our well-established client in packaging industry, who is looking for Sr. IT Systems Administrator.
About the role and responsibilities:
Install, configure, monitor and upgrade Windows 7/10 operating systems, infrastructure (including Microsoft Active Directory), business applications, security tools, web servers, email, personal computers, mobile phones, and local and wide area networking.
Manage inventory, including purchasing of hardware and software.
Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns.
Administer and maintain support of various hosted services such as Office 365 and Azure Active Directory.
Create and verify regular data backup and, if needed, recovery.
Review application logs
4. Scope of Responsibilities
Create an IT systems roadmap: a governing document that dictates specifically how we will prioritize, implement, and support hardware and software assets and network security.
Upgrade systems and processes for enhanced IT administration of infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software, and other processes.
Design a program for continuous review and handling of system vulnerabilities and security issues.
Develop and maintain documentation for supported infrastructure, applications, processes (“IT run book”), and training material for both employees and IT staff.
Review, restructure, and renegotiate various network and host-based security applications and tools.
Enhance our help desk support system including the expansion of knowledge based support.

Sr. IT Systems Administrator will report to Director - Digital Technology.

Overall skills:
o Ability to deploy and maintain hardware and software to support geographically dispersed teams.
o Experience providing remote IT troubleshooting to geographically dispersed teams.
o Respond to help desk requests after hours on a limited basis.
o Ability to generate, analyze and interpret data to make strategic decisions
o Proficient project management skills with an obsessive attention to detail.
o Ability to prioritize workload, queues, and other assignments; excellent in time management.
o Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within IT.
o Strong commitment to providing superior customer support.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education
o University degree in Information Technology
o MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) or MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert)
Experience
o Minimum five years of experience managing IT systems administration, including networks.
o Required to have administered Windows servers, operating systems, and workstations
o Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Domain Controller policies, rights and permissions for administration
o Familiarity with various network and host-based security applications and tools, such as assessment/scanning tools, intrusion detection systems, and other security software packages
Age range
o 27 to 37 years old is the preferred age range

Technical knowledge
o MS Office 365 applications
o Azure Active Directory
o WatchGuard, Fortigate, and PRTG security applications
o Certification in CISSP, CISM, CompTIA, etc.
