Key tasks

We're looking for a dynamic Assistant Talent & Culture (HR) Manager who will support and assist the Director of T&C (HR) in the overall operation of the Talent & Culture (Human Resources) of the hotel.
Responsible for maintaining a fully functioning Talent & Culture Department including employment, screening, referrals, personnel record keeping, compensation and benefits, work permits and visa processing.
Available for staff at all levels to advise, counsel and assist with problems or queries.
Encourages a good standard of employee conduct and behavior and coordinates disciplinary procedures when necessary.
Maintain the smooth functioning of staff accommodation with the assistance of housing team staff.
Liaises with the Hygiene Officer/Executive Chef with regards to the staff Cafeteria, particularly on the quality, variety and nutritious value of the food served.
Maintains close contact with all Department Heads through departmental visits, serving as an adviser and internal consultant on employee relations issues.
Coordinates and encourages sports and social activities on a regular basis.
In conjunction with the purchasing department, ensure all contracts are kept up to date in an excel sheet and contracts are renewed at least 2 months prior expiry.
Reviews Employee Opinion Surveys and initiates action plans.
Monitors and ensures that Health and Safety and Environmental best practices are implemented.
Implements and monitors an effective communications program at all levels of management and staff.
Co-ordinates the effective implementation of employee relations policies and practices.
Maintains employee records and statistical trends relating to turnover, transfers and other employee data as applicable.
Co-ordinates the timely recruitment of staff in a cost effective manner, utilizing internal or external resources as required.
Ensures compliance with Company Policy and Procedures, and UAE government regulations pertaining to employment practices.
To participate in and/or support projects and initiatives aimed at supporting business strategies and practices.
Support the delivery of the integrated Payroll and Human Resources Management System (Oasys).
To implement agreed recognition systems, supporting line managers in providing a work environment that motivates and rewards employees.
To manage, coach, develop and motivate the Talent & Culture team in order to maximize performance.
Confirms the vacation requests, sick leave requests, cash advance requests, travel arrangements for all employees.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / PROFILE
Fluent in English. Knowledge in an additional language is definitely an advantage.
Previous experience in a multicultural environment is essential.
Bachelor's degree and GCC work experience are non negotiable.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position in a 5-star hotel / environment.
