Job Description:
Knowledge of ships (i.e. performance, technical drawings, technical specifications, etc.)
Basic knowledge of required materials (quality, grade, etc.)
Ability to interpret basic drawings.
Knowledge of marine coating and blasting
Knowledge of hydro blasting equipment and risks
Knowledge of quality/control procedures
Multitasking capability and support other activities of the yard like rigging, yard services and manual assistance to staging / docking / undocking / berthing activities.
Good knowledge of different hand-tools and types of equipment required
Knowledge in shipbuilding maintenance.
Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings and technical manuals.
Multi-tasking and handling several of concurrent priorities;
Time management skills
Attention to detail essential
Ability to use computers and office applications - MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to build positive and effective relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
Communication skills
Planning and organising skills
Problem solving skills
Customer service skills
