Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair Split AC, Ducted AC and Packaged AC systems.
Independently troubleshoot cooling, electrical, refrigerant, airflow and control-related faults.
Diagnose compressors correctly and perform professional compressor replacement and commissioning.
Carry out refrigerant recovery/charging, nitrogen pressure testing, leak testing, brazing with nitrogen purging and proper vacuuming.
Diagnose and replace compressors, fan/blower motors, capacitors, contactors, relays, thermostats and other HVAC components.
Take and correctly interpret suction/discharge pressures, voltage, amperage, temperature, superheat/subcooling and other relevant readings.
Identify the root cause of component failure before replacement rather than changing parts by trial and error.
Report diagnosis, readings, photos/videos and recommended repairs to management and obtain approval before carrying out additional work or gas top-up.
Complete proper testing and commissioning after every major repair.
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 3–5 years of strong hands-on HVAC experience.
Strong experience with Split, Ducted and Packaged AC systems.
Proven experience in compressor diagnosis and replacement.
Excellent electrical and refrigeration troubleshooting skills.
Good knowledge of R410A, R32 and R22 systems.
Ability to read electrical/wiring diagrams and use manifold gauges, multimeter, clamp meter, vacuum pump, micron gauge, nitrogen equipment and refrigerant weighing scale.
Ability to work independently and diagnose faults quickly and accurately.
ITI/Diploma in HVAC/Refrigeration preferred.
UAE/GCC experience preferred.
Additional Advantage
Experience with cold rooms, refrigeration systems, condensing units, VRF/VRV, AHU/FCU or chillers will be a strong advantage. At least one of the two selected technicians should preferably have good cold-room/refrigeration experience.
Professional Conduct
Candidate must be professional at customer locations, follow company procedures, protect customer property and never carry out unauthorized repairs, component replacement or refrigerant charging without approval.
Important: This position requires genuine troubleshooting ability. Candidates whose experience is mainly limited to AC cleaning, routine servicing and gas top-up will not be suitable.
Shortlisted candidates will undergo a practical HVAC troubleshooting test before selection.
