**Position Title:** Fire Alarm Installation Technician
**Department:** Fire & Life Safety Systems
**Reports To:** Project Engineer / Site Supervisor
### Job Summary
The Fire Alarm Installation Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of fire alarm systems in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, local authority regulations, and industry standards. The technician ensures that all fire alarm devices and associated equipment are installed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
### Key Responsibilities
* Install fire alarm control panels, detectors, manual call points, sounders, strobes, modules, and related devices. * Perform cable laying, containment installation, termination, labeling, and testing of fire alarm circuits. * Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and project specifications. * Conduct pre-commissioning checks and assist in system commissioning activities. * Troubleshoot and rectify faults in fire alarm systems and associated wiring. * Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution. * Ensure all installations comply with applicable codes, standards, and authority requirements. * Prepare daily work reports and update installation progress records. * Maintain tools, testing equipment, and materials in good condition. * Adhere to company health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times. * Assist during inspections by consultants, clients, and civil defense authorities. * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of fire alarm systems when required.
### Qualifications & Experience
* ITI, Diploma, or Technical Certification in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field. * Minimum 2–5 years of experience in fire alarm system installation and maintenance. * Experience with major fire alarm brands such as Honeywell, Notifier, Siemens, Edwards, Hochiki, GST, or equivalent. * Knowledge of fire alarm system components, wiring practices, and testing procedures. * Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics. * Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.

### Working Conditions
* Work at construction sites, commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and residential developments. * May require working at heights, in confined spaces, or outdoors. * Overtime and weekend work may be required based on project schedules.
