Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site-Based Project Engineer to manage and supervise ongoing construction and steel structure erection activities at project sites. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating site operations, managing manpower and subcontractors, ensuring project progress, maintaining quality and safety standards, and handling coordination with consultants and main contractors from project initiation to final handover.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage daily site activities related to steel structure, PEB erection, fabrication, and installation works.
Coordinate with main contractors, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments for smooth project execution.
Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and technical documents before execution.
Plan site activities, manpower allocation, equipment usage, and material requirements based on project schedules.
Monitor project progress and ensure works are completed as per approved timeline and project specifications.
Attend site meetings, progress meetings, coordination meetings, and technical discussions with clients and consultants.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management review.
Handle site inspections, MIR, WIR, and consultant approvals as per project requirements.
Coordinate with procurement and production teams for timely material delivery to site.
Ensure quality control procedures and HSE standards are properly implemented at site.
Identify project risks, delays, and technical issues and take corrective actions immediately.
Manage and supervise site engineers, foremen, supervisors, and subcontractors effectively.
Monitor productivity and ensure efficient utilization of manpower and resources.
Verify site measurements and coordinate with QS/commercial department for progress billing and variations.
Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Support testing, commissioning, snag rectification, and final project handover activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 5+ years of UAE/GCC experience in steel structure, PEB, or construction projects.
Strong experience in handling site execution and project coordination independently.
Good knowledge of steel erection procedures, construction methodologies, and site management.
Experience in dealing with consultants, main contractors, and project stakeholders.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
Strong knowledge of project planning, execution, and reporting.
Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and HSE regulations.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project coordination tools.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
UAE Driving License will be an added advantage.
