Role Description The Procurement Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role is responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects, ensuring that all items meet technical specifications, quality standards, and budget constraints. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and issuing requests for quotation (RFQs), reviewing supplier proposals, negotiating pricing and terms, and creating purchase orders in line with project schedules. The Procurement Engineer collaborates with project managers, site engineers, and the finance team to track material delivery, resolve supply issues, and maintain accurate procurement records. The role also involves continuous supplier performance monitoring, market research for alternative materials or vendors, and adherence to company procurement policies and compliance requirements.Qualifications
Ability to conduct Supplier Evaluation and assess vendor performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.
Minimum 4 years in construction procurement engineer position.
Experience in preparing and managing Request for Quotation (RFQ) documents and comparing technical and commercial offers.
Proficiency in creating, processing, and tracking Purchase Orders within ERP or procurement systems.
Strong Analytical Skills to review cost breakdowns, evaluate material specifications, and support data-driven procurement decisions.
Effective Communication skills to coordinate with internal stakeholders, negotiate with suppliers, and prepare clear procurement reports.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil,) or Procurement Management.
Experience in construction or engineering procurement within the Middle East region is an advantage.
Knowledge of local and international standards, contract terms, and basic commercial law related to procurement.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP or procurement software.
Ability to work on-site, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict project timelines.
