Looking for Master tailor / Pattern Maker & Sample Machinist - Menswear
- Ability to develop garments from sketches, reference images and measurments including advising on suitable construction methods.
- Personally handle the full process: pattern drafting, cutting, Sewing, fitting, alterations, and final pressing.
- Experience in making men's shirts, trousers, shorts, Jackets and outerwear, including relaxed and contemporary silhouettes
- Ability to $%&!# fit and balance, correct patterns after fittings and reproduce approved samples consistently
- High standards of internal and external finishing, including linings, welt pockets, fly zippers, collars, cuffs, buttonholes and precise topstitching.
- Experience in producing one-off development samples and small production runs.
- Ability to maintain accurate patterns and records of measurements, construction details and sample revisions.
- Willingness to collaborate closely with the designer, experiment with details and suggest practical improvements.
- Proficient in using different sewing machines including overlocking machines and embroidery machines.
- Advanced knowledge in pattern making and cutting and also in size grading.
- Knowledge of different fabric materials natural and synthetic and working with software such as CLO3D is highly desirable.
- Natural problem solver.
- Open to ideas and experimentation with fabrics
