We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes to a consistent standard, maintaining strict hygiene and food safety practices, and supporting the smooth daily running of the kitchen during service.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, cook, and present menu items to the required quality, portion size, and presentation standards
• Manage an assigned section of the kitchen during service, ensuring timely delivery of orders
• Carry out mise en place and ensure the section is fully stocked and ready before each service period
• Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and minimise wastage through correct portioning and rotation (FIFO)
• Maintain strict compliance with HACCP, Dubai Municipality food safety regulations, and company hygiene standards
• Ensure all equipment and work areas are kept clean, sanitised, and in safe working order
• Check the quality and freshness of all incoming ingredients and report any issues
• Support the Head Chef in menu development, costing, and the introduction of new dishes
• Guide and train junior kitchen staff (commis chefs, kitchen helpers) as required
• Record temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and other food safety documentation accurately
• Work collaboratively with the service team to ensure a smooth guest experience
Requirements
• Minimum 2–4 years' experience as a Chef in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment (GCC experience preferred)
• Culinary diploma or equivalent professional training
• Valid Dubai Municipality Food Handler / Person In Charge (PIC) certificate, or willingness to obtain
• Sound knowledge of HACCP and food safety principles
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen during peak service
• Good command of English; additional languages an advantage
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Valid UAE residence visa or eligibility to be sponsored
